Creating a view
1. Put Milestone into Setup mode. When Setup mode is active, this button will be orange.
2. Under the Views section in the left-hand panel, expand the folder you'd like your new view to live in.
3. Right click the folder > New view > then select your desired ratio and layout. Name your view. (You can right-click > Rename it later from the View section)
4. In the System overview section, you can select any specialty view types like carousel, hotspot, and so on. To run a tile into one of these, simply drag and drop into the desired tile in your new view.
5. To add cameras, expand VMSMGMT in the System overview section. Navigate to your desired camera and drag and drop it into the desired tile.
6. Once you are done editing your view, click "Setup" again to exit setup mode. The button should now be black again.
Other view types
A view can include a website, a carousel, text, a map, static image, or any combination of these
items. In the image below *(taken from the milestone training documents), we have:
• Webpage in main view item
• Carousel in upper right
• Text in middle right
• Map in lower right
• Normal camera view items in lower left and middle
